MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Saturday, June 14, 2025, Deputy Dustin Henson responded to a call of a vehicle sitting in the middle of the roadway with two subjects passed out in the vehicle on Sevier Branch Road.
Upon arrival Deputy Henson made contact with a male subject, Russell Smith, 48, of Manchester, KY passed out in the driver seat of the vehicle and a female subject, Jennifer Henson, 42, of Manchester, KY passed out in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Upon Deputy Henson shaking both the male and female numerous times and calling their names, he was finally able to wake them up. Deputy Henson advised both subjects to step out of the vehicle and both had slurred speech and could not maintain good balance and also had glossy eyes. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the the Clay County Detention Center.
Russell Smith was arrested for:
- PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLL SUB(EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
Jennifer Henson was arrested for:
- PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLL SUB(EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
Both subjects were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
