SUBJECT WANTED ON WARRANTS ARRESTED AT SAFETY CHECKPOINT IN LAUREL CO., KY

LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Andrew Hacker, age 29, of London early Monday morning June 16, 2025 at approximately 12:07 AM.

The arrest occurred on Somerset Road approximately 5 miles west of London at a traffic safety checkpoint after it was learned that this individual who was driving a gray Chevrolet Cobalt was driving on a suspended license from a prior Dui. Further investigation was conducted on the driver who was determined to be under the influence. In addition, this individual was wanted on two outstanding warrants.

Andrew Hacker was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
  • Operating on a suspended or revoked operator's license
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • Failure to appear in court

In addition this individual was charged on a second Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

failure to appear in court

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
