LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with shift Sgt. Robert Reed arrested Dakota Smith, age 28, of East Bernstadt on Monday night June 16, 2025 at approximately 10:30 PM.
The arrest occurred off Old Richmond Road, approximately 2 miles north of London after Dakota Smith was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
- Resisting arrest; criminal mischief – third-degree
- Menacing
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
