GLASGOW, KY (June 23, 2025) – At just after 3:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 3 was contacted by the Barren County Sheriff's Office to request assistance with a fatal collision. Troopers arrived at the scene on Edmonton Road at Veterans Outer Loop.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2017 Nissan Rogue, operated by James Deichmueller, 82, from Selma, North Carolina, was traveling southbound on Veterans Outer Loop. A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Charles Davis, 51, from Glasgow, was traveling westbound on Edmonton Road. Mr. Deichmueller failed to yield to a traffic control device and struck Mr. Davis's vehicle. Mr. Deichmueller was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Detective Bo Hubbard, who was assisted at the scene by the Barren County Sheriff's Office, Barren County EMS, and other KSP personnel.
