LONDON, KY - The London Police Department reports that on Friday, June 13th, 2025 at approximately 9:11 am, Sgt. Ben Webb arrested Nicholas Phillips, age 36, of St. Catharine, KY.
Officers initially received a report of a male slumped over in the vehicle with the driver’s door open in the parking lot of Dollar General.
Upon arrival, the officers located Phillips slumped over in the vehicle and noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Phillips was also noted as showing several signs of impairment and was placed under arrest.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, US Currency, baggies, scales and a firearm. Mr. Phillips was placed under arrest and later transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Nicholas Phillips was charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (> or = 2 Grams Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Public Intoxication
