LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed arrested John D. Monhollen, age 54, of Corbin on Thursday afternoon July 3, 2025 at approximately 4:28 PM.
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off W. Cumberland Gap Pkwy. approximately 11 miles south of London after Deputy Reed observed a vehicle parked erratically with the engine running and conducted an investigation on the driver who had slurred erratic speech and pinpoint pupils.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, identified as John D. Monhollen, age 54, of Corbin, KY was determined to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.
John Monhollen was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- License to be in possession
- Improper registration plate
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
