FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) has announced the state’s 20 top-performing child support collection partners, as well recognizing one that has made significant improvement during the past year.
The winners were announced this month at a conference in Bowling Green hosted by the CHFS Child Support Enforcement program (CSE).
The CSE administers child support enforcement jointly with local contracting officials for all 120 counties.
“In every county, our contractors are working hard for the families in their communities,” said Department for Income Support Commissioner Steve Veno, who leads the CSE. “In counties large and small, they continue to improve services so the children they serve get the financial support to which they are entitled. We are so pleased to honor these top performers.”
Contracting officials are ranked based on their paternity establishments, the establishment of child support orders, child support collections and past-due collections.
Rankings for the 2012-13 fiscal year were made based on number of active cases.
Top performing counties with 1,000 or fewer cases are as follows:
− Adair County, County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin
− Crittenden County, County Attorney Rebecca J. Johnson
− Cumberland County, County Attorney Lindsey G. Bell
− Green County, County Attorney Russ Goff
− Larue County, County Attorney Dale M. Morris
− Morgan County, County Attorney D. Joleen Frederick
− McLean County, County Attorney W. E. Quisenberry Jr.
− Robertson County, County Attorney John Price
Top performing counties with 1,000-2,000 cases are as follows:
− Allen County, County Attorney William Hagenbuch Jr.
− Breckinridge County, County Attorney Bradley Butler
− Grayson County, County Attorney K. Clay Ratley
− Meade County, County Attorney Jessica Brown Roberts
− Oldham County, County Attorney John K. Carter
− Russell County, County Attorney Kevin Shearer
− Taylor County, County Attorney John D. Bertram
Top performing counties with 2,000-4,000 cases are as follows:
− Barren County, County Attorney Jeffrey Sharp
− Harlan County, County Attorney Fred M. Busroe Jr.
− Hopkins County, County Attorney Todd P’Pool
Top performing counties with 4,000 cases or more are as follows:
− Christian County, County Attorney J. Michael Foster
− Hardin County, County Attorney Jennifer B. Oldham
Greatest Improvement Award
− Caldwell County, County Attorney James S. Miller
Several other awards were also given to contractors and CSE staff. They are as follows:
− Contracting Official Office of the Year – Russell County Attorney’s Office
− John R. Fendley Child Support Attorney of the Year – Alan J. George, Woodford County Attorney
− Tim Olds Outstanding Customer Service Award – Maressa Criswell, CSE Central Office
− Contracting Official Employee of the Year – Marilyn Henning, Breckinridge County Attorney’s Office
− State Child Support Field Office Employee of the Year – Missy Mollett, North Eastern Regional Office
− State Central Office Employee of the Year – June Miller, Training Section
− Commissioner’s Award for Outstanding Performance Above and Beyond the Call of Duty – Dee Dee Weakley, Office of Administration and Technology Services, Kentucky Automated Support and Enforcement System (KASES) Branch
