Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Sgt. Josh Gaylor arrested Crystal Bowles age 35 Kelly Rd., McKee on Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2015, at approximately 3:00 PM.
The arrest occurred at the Laurel County Sheriff's office in London after this subject came to the Sheriff's office to turn herself in on outstanding charges from Laurel District Court for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of operating on suspended or revoked operators license and other traffic violations.
While being processed at the Sheriff's office, this subject advised deputies that she had a gun in her pocket.
Deputies found her in possession of a small derringer pistol in her front pocket.
In addition, deputies determined that this subject was under the influence. She admitted to smoking marijuana and taking several different pills earlier in the day.
Deputy Gray charged this subject with carrying a concealed weapon; public intoxication – controlled substances; possession of drug paraphernalia and the outstanding Laurel County bench warrant of arrest and lodged her in the Laurel County Detention Center.
