(LONDON, KY.) – Kentucky State Police Post 11, London which provides coverage for Clay County will be participating in the national “ Click It or Ticket “ enforcement campaign beginning Monday, June 06, 2016 through Sunday, June 19, 2016. This federal highway safety initiative focuses on seat belt and child restraint enforcement as well as driver education.
The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety statistics indicate that motorists in Clay County have a 69.4 percent seat belt usage rate, the lowest in the state. The average seat belt rate for Kentucky is 86.1 percent.
Troopers will utilize high visibility enforcement, saturation patrols and traffic safety checkpoints in the Post 11 district with emphasis in Clay County.
