Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Kyle Gray arrested Christopher Michael Williams age 42 of North Iris Dr., Hopkinsville, KY on Monday evening June 6, 2016.
The arrest occurred in London on South Broad St. in front of the Laurel County Sheriff's office after this subject came to the Sheriff's office seeking a vehicle release and to give Deputy Gray driver information regarding him leaving the scene of a non-injury collision where he was the driver.
When this subject came to the Sheriff's office, Deputy Gray detected an odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence – this subject admitted to drinking a beer or two and taking some pills before coming to the Sheriff's office.
Christopher Michael Williams was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited; and reckless driving and other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
