Injury crash on north US 25 in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Gilbert Acciardo along with Sgt. Brett Reeves investigated a two vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on US 25, approximately 1/2 mile north of London on Tuesday morning July 26, 2016 at approximately 7:58 AM.

The investigating deputies report that apparently a 2001 Dodge Durango pulled out from Bullock Road in front of the path of 2008 Ford Fusion that was traveling northbound on US 25. The Dodge Durango collided with the Ford Fusion. Both vehicles came to rest off the roadway.

The driver of the Dodge Durango was identified as Royal Bradley Farmer age 29 of Village Wood Court, London – no injuries reported.

the driver of the Ford fusion was identified as Davina Rachelle Sowders age 24 S. of Highway 1223, Corbin – injured and transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment. Also injured in this vehicle was a front seat passenger identified as John North age 24 of South Hwy. 1223, Corbin – transported to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.

Also injured was a 1 1/2 year old infant male who was restrained in a child safety seat in the back seat– transported to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.

Assisting at the scene of the crash was Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London Laurel Rescue Squad, and East Bernstadt Fire Department..
