Death Investigation / Pulaski County


London, KY–On Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at approximately 5:40 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was notified of a residential structure fire with a fatality on East HWY 635 in the Science Hill community of Pulaski County.

KSP Arson Investigator Detective Brian Lewis along with Detective Mike King arrived on the scene and discovered a deceased subject inside the burned residence. Detectives also learned that a female subject had made it out of the residence and was transported to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital where she was treated and released.

The cause and origin of the fire has not been determined at this time. The body will be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed. Preliminary cause of death and identification of the deceased are expected later.

Detective Lewis is continuing the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Detectives from Post 11, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Science Hill Fire Department, Dabney Fire Department, Pulaski County Fire Department, Pulaski County EMS and Pulaski County Emergency Management.
