Woman allegedly stabs husband with 8 inch steak knife in Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: On Tuesday night October 11, 2016Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Shawn Jackson and Deputy Travis Napier were dispatched to investigate a domestic dispute

The officers arrested Karole Blanton age 28 of Robert E Cox Rd. Apartments, Corbin on Tuesday night October 11, 2016 at approximately 11:18 PM.

The arrest occurred off Pine Grove Road, approximately 9 miles south of London after deputies arrived to investigate the dispute that allegedly resulted in an altercation where this subject stabbed her husband in the thigh with an 8 inch steak knife.

The knife was still stuck in the victim's leg all the way to the handle when deputies arrived at the scene. This subject told deputies that her husband had fallen on the knife, however, investigation determined that he had been stabbed with it – this subject finally admitted that she stabbed him.

Karole Blanton was charged with assault – second-degree – domestic violence and falsely reporting an incident. In addition, this subject was determined to be a wanted fugitive wanted by Clark County Sheriff's office,Jeffersonville, Indiana for failure to appear in court on charges of intimidation, and battery resulting in bodily injury.

Karole Blanton was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
