London, KY (October 18, 2016) - On Monday, October 17, 2016 at approximately 1:10 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash with an injury on HWY 70 at the junction of US HWY 150 in Rockcastle County.
Upon arrival, Trooper Scottie Pennington determined that a 2009 Hyundai Accent operated by Johnny G. Maybrier, 67, of Brodhead, KY was traveling eastbound when he dropped off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Maybrier, who was not wearing a seatbelt was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
Trooper Pennington is continuing the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 11, Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office, Brodhead Fire Department and Rockcastle County EMS.
