Diane Smith Grubb, age 83 departed this life on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home. She was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1935 in Clay County to Harrison Benjamin and Mary Jane Depew Smith.
She was a house wife and homemaker who enjoy flowers and gardening in which she had a special touch. She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and her companion dog Annie. She will be greatly missed.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Eddie Smith of Niota, Tennessee, Julia Smith and her husband Oscar of Garrard, Linda Grant and her husband Daniel of Sweetwater, Tennessee and Lisa Jones of Manchester as well as 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as her special sister: Carolyn Hall, her sister-in-law: Rita Smith, her brother-in-law: Sammie Lewis as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Coy Grubb, her son-in-law: Delbert Jones, these brothers and sisters: Albert Lester Smith, Lawrence Smith, Elmer Smith, Chester Golden Smith, Harrison Benjamin Smith, Jr., Charles Smith, Robert Leslie Smith, Dewey Smith, Christine Smith Lewis, Della Smith Jones, her special brother-in-law: Willie Junior Hall as well as her parents: Harrison Benjamin and Mary Jane Smith.
A celebration of life for Diane Smith Grubb will be conducted on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones after 11:00 AM on Friday at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
