Barbara “Bobbie Jo” Collins, 68, of Thousandsticks, Kentucky departed this life on October 16, 2019, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. Barbara was born March 02, 1951 in Leslie County to the late Jim and Lula (Bolen) Collins. She had lived the majority of her life as a resident of Leslie County. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior just a few weeks prior to her passing. Barbara enjoyed the outdoor life, she liked riding four-wheelers, camping, and painting.
Barbara leaves behind, a daughter, Jennifer Splawn of Thousandsticks, KY; her grandson, Preston Collett (raised as her own), two brothers, Jackie Collins (Bonnie) and Frankie Collins (Teresa Couch), both of Thousandsticks, KY; three sisters, Sue Norris of Thousandsticks, KY, Freida Eldridge (Donald) of Letcher County, and Donna Collins of Knoxville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral: 11:00 A.M. - Saturday at Thousandsticks United Methodist Church with Kelly Fields officiating
Interment: Collins Cemetery - Hyden, KY
Visitation: 5:00 P.M. - Friday evening at the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church - Thousandsticks, KY
