Mary Bethie Smith Young was born on February 2, 1939, in Rockholds, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Leland Hubert and Lula Mae Hickey Smith. She was united in marriage to Emmett C. Young, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sisters, Thelma Lee Young of Ft. Myers, Florida, Faye Summers of McKee and Nancy E. Smith Gaines of London, her sister-in-law, Shirley Smith of London, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Smith.
She was a homemaker and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Mary Bethie Smith Young departed this life at St. Joseph – London on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, being 80 years, 9 months and 10 days of age.
Memorial services for Mary Bethie Smith Young will be conducted at a later date and will be announced later by Bowling Funeral Home.
