JoAnn Jones was born on March 3, 1958, in Clay County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Camel and Edith Smith. She was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by two children, Felisha and Dishman Jones, both of Corbin, five siblings, Linda Brassfield (Mitchell) of East Bernstadt, Darlene Morgan (Clayton), John Smith (Lesa) and Chuck Smith (Carrie Rebecca), all of Lily and David Smith of Harrodsburg, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by four siblings, Louise Slusher, Richard, Abe and Ricky Smith.
JoAnn Jones departed this life at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, being 61 years, 11 months and 15 days of age.
Funeral services for JoAnn Jones will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday in the Bowing Funeral Home Chapel with Jamie Krahenbuhl and Kenny Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow the Smith Cemetery in London.
The family of JoAnn Jones will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 12 PM Saturday until the funeral hour of 1 PM Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
