Mrs. Lena Cress, age 105 of Burning Springs departed this life on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek. She was born on Monday, September 20, 1915 in Clay County, Kentucky to Felix and Nannie (Howard) Turner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
She leaves to mourn her passing her great grandchildren: Marsha Renee Moore and James Taylor of Burning Springs; William Clint Moore of Mt. Vernon; her great great grandchildren: Joseph, Jasha, and Isabella Taylor, and Rusty Wallace; her niece: Becky Jacobs and husband Kenny; her great nieces: Kayla and Kelly and her nephew: Anthony Cupp and wife Belinda.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Felix and Nannie Turner; her husband: William Cress; her daughter: Shelba Jean Jennings and her granddaughter: Kathy Breeden.
Funeral Services for Lena Cress will be conducted on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday after 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
