Judy Goins, 71, of Manchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 5th, at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Judy was born in Oneida, KY on October 8, 1951, a daughter of the late Claude and Martha Cornett Bennett. She was a Math and Spanish teacher for 36 years (1973-2009) at Clay County High School. Judy was a lifelong resident of Clay County, KY and a member of the Manchester Baptist Church.
Judy is survived by her husband, Charles W. Goins of Manchester; her son, William Goins of Manchester; and her daughter, Amy Howard and husband Brian of Gallatin, TN.
She is also survived by her sister, Carol King and husband J. C. of Ripley, OH; and by her grandchildren: Carter Howard, Evie Howard, and Sterling Howard, all of Gallatin, TN.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother and sisters: Reuben George Bennett, Mary Rose Thompson, Louise Greer, and Barbara Chandler.
The family would prefer memorials be made in the form of Gideon Bibles in her memory.
Private Services for the family will be held at Britton Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
