Sonya Brown Dezarn, age 37 of Hima, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born May 4, 1975 in Corbin, Kentucky. She was a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son: Joey Dezarn of Hima, her daughter: Eshia Dezarn of Hima, her grandson: Brantley-John Dezarn, her fiancé: Mitch Foutch, and her father and mother: James and Carol Brown of Hima. She is also survived by her sisters: Tonya Gray and her husband: Stanley of Manchester, and Rhonda Robinson and her husband: Shannon of Manchester, 2 nephews: Bentley Robinson and James Richard Gray, 2 nieces: Shannon Nicole Robinson and Kiara Robinson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents: J. B. and Blanche Massey and Rowland and Thelma Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Clay County Cancer Coalition or Gideon Bibles.
Funeral Services for Sonya Brown Dezarn will be conducted on Tuesday, December 4, at 3 PM at the Horse Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Anthony Lovett, Rev. Terry Reid, Rev. Bobby Stevens, and Rev. Randy Bingham will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Ed “Penner” Gregory and White Cemetery in the Hima Community.
Visitation will be Monday, December 3, after 6 PM at the Horse Creek Baptist Church.
