Patsy Marcum Farthing passed away peacefully at her home in Newnan, GA on December 7, 2024. Patsy was born in Oneida, KY on April 7, 1960, a daughter of the late James (Phil) and Lucy Marcum. Patsy lived in Berea, KY from an early age until she married. Patsy then moved to the Atlanta, GA area where she had a beautiful life with her loving husband of 31 years, Jack.
Patsy was a homemaker, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Patsy was the best mother to her precious dog, Gracie. Patsy was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Patsy lit up every room she entered and was the life of every party. She never met a stranger and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Patsy enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Jack, cooking, shopping, going to shows at the Fox Theatre, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Patsy is survived by her husband Jack Farthing of Newnan, GA and her dog, Gracie. She is also survived by her sister Susan Corum (Parker) of Manchester, KY and her brother Eddie Marcum (Donna) of Manchester, KY. She leaves behind the following nieces and nephew: Jimmy Brant (Shannon) of Stamping Ground, KY, Stephanie Zbinden (Marc) of Leesburg, VA, Tracy Childers of Richmond, KY, Celia Samples (Brandon) of Manchester, KY, and Elly Jones. (Chris) of Manchester, KY. Patsy also, leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews that she adored.
In addition to her parents, Patsy is also preceded in death by her sister Linda Brant and her precious dog Drew.
Funeral services for Patsy Farthing will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY. Ken Bolin will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 12 at Britton Funeral Home.
