Lucy Young, 90, of Manchester, KY, passed away Monday, December 9th, at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing Home.
Lucy was born in Leslie County, KY on April 16, 1934, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Flora Hacker Washburn. She was a member of the East Manchester Church of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Young.
Lucy is survived by her children: John Wayne (Debbie) Landrum of Manchester, Robert Conley (Shawn) Young of Manchester, Anthony Phil (Teresa) Young of Manchester, Wanda Lavonne (Larry) Anderson of Manchester, Charles Michael (Kay) Young of Manchester, and Flora Ruth Young of London.
She is also survived by her brothers and sister: Robert Washburn of Rogersville, Susie Stapleton of Rogersville, and Paul Washburn of Hyden; by her grandchildren: Jonathan Keith, Joseph Wayne, Kristie Dawn, Daniel Ryan, Robert Conley, Jr., Kaitlyn Dawn, Anthony Matthew, Samantha Lauren, Ryan Glenn, Lucy Lavonne, Joshua Michael Conley, Charles Tyler Jordan,Lindsey Brooke, and Wesley Logan; and by 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her grandson, Charles Anthony; and by the following brothers and sisters: Charlie Washburn, John Henry Washburn, Dan Washburn, Bernie Washburn, Vernice Napier, Rose Asher, Marthie Napier, and Mel Washburn.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 12th at Britton Funeral Home. with Travis Fields and George Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at the Polly Marcum Cemetery in Big Creek.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 12th at Britton Funeral Home.
