Mr. Orie Mills, age 80, of Manchester, passed Monday, June 3, at The Heritage in Corbin, Kentucky.
He was born October 18, 1932 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Perry and Millia Bowman Mills. He was a farmer, a coal miner, and a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter: Dale Mills Swafford and the late Billy Dean of Manchester, his grandson: Bryan Dean Swafford and his wife Natosha and their children: Bryson Kade and Kolton Blayne, his granddaughter: Sherri LaRae Smith and her husband Bryan and their son: Ryder Douglas, and his granddaughter: Jennifer Renee Smith and her husband: Jarrod. He is also survived by one sister.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Perry and Millia Mills, his wife: Wilma Brown Mills, his son-in-law: Billy Dean Swafford, his brothers and sisters: Ophard Tom Mills, Theo Mills, Georgia Hall, Mary Smith, Lydia Jarvis Campbell, Artie Mills, and Woodie Joan Jarvis Roberts.
Mr. Orie Mills’ services will be conducted on Saturday, June 8, at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
