Amnie Y. Walters, 99 years, 7 months, and 10 days, of Louisville, formerly of Manchester, was born, March 11th, 1914, and passed away, Monday, October 21st, 2013 at her home.
She is survived by her children, Michael Walters, of Manchester, and Miriam Oglesby, and husband, Michael, of Louisville.
Also surviving are these grandchildren, Andrea Walters, Michelle Cooper, Michael Oglesby, Caroline Sikes, Colin Walters, Drury Walters, along with these great-grandchildren, Tyler Banks, Jacob Cooper, Alex Freeman, Evelyn Cooper, and Brynlee Sikes, and her sister-in-law, Dorcus Benge.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Walters, and her parents Lonzo and Amanda Young.
She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death.
Funeral services for Amnie Y. Walters will be held 12 Noon Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Bolin Officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manchester Baptist Church WMU, or Hospice of Louisville at 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205.
