Alice Price, age 84 departed this life on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at her home in Matthews, North Carolina.
She was born on Wednesday, December 19, 1928 in New York to the union of James Thomas and Irene Williams Price. She was a teacher, a supervisor at a vocational school, a member of the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church, a University of Kentucky Alumni, and a veteran of the United States Air Force where she was a lieutenant.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Lynn Price Darone Henderson, her grandchildren: Jessica Irene Tomayko and Dalyn Kise Darone, her brother: Jim Price of Manchester, and her sisters: Julia Adams of Vero Beach, Florida, and Helen Price Plank of Trenton, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents: James Thomas and Irene Williams Price, and her sister: Ruth Caudill.
Funeral Services for Alice Price will be conducted on Saturday, December 21, at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Maurice Hibbard will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Price Family Cemetery in the Price Hollow Community.
Following the graveside services family and friends will gather at Ralph and Catherine’s cabin.
Visitation will begin at 1 PM until the funeral hour at 3 PM on Saturday at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
