Harold Wayne Grubb passed away Friday, April 11th, 2014 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare, being 67 years of age after a valiant fight with cancer for over 5 years.
Harold Wayne was born May 18th, 1946 in Manchester, KY, being the son of the late Dewey Grubb and the late Polly Ann (Collins) Grubb. Harold Wayne was a beloved member of Manchester Pentecostal Church. He was a proud retired Vietnam Veteran and a retired truck driver having spent over 45 years in the coal mines and on the road trucking. Harold Wayne cherished and enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, especially to the beach, drag racing, and rebuilding classic cars.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Belt Grubb and was the loving father of the following children: Robbin (Grubb) Robinson and husband Billy, Manchester, KY, Dewey Wayne Grubb and wife Lori, Manchester, KY, Kristina (Grubb) Hicks and husband Jay, London, KY, Michael Grubb, London, KY, Brian Grubb and wife Kristin, Louisville, KY, Allison (Grubb) Murray and husband Brian, Annville, KY, Wayne Travis Warren and wife Jessica, Trenton, OH, Jonathan Mills and wife Trisha, Mooresville, NC. He was also preceded in death by one son in law, Charles Ray Parker.
Harold Wayne is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Carl Jack Grubb, Xenia, OH, Ester Marple, Williamsburg, KY, Joann Hawk, Lexington, KY, and Mary Betty Stivers, Manchester, KY, He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Phil Grubb and William Grubb, and one sister, Edith Hoskins. Harold Wayne was a loving grandfather to the following 17 precious Grandchildren: Autumn Parker, Zac Kemp, Donavon Grubb, Keegan Kemp, Summer Parker, Kennedey Murray, Mikey Grubb, Gabe Grubb, Gracie Murray, Lily Robinson, Kenton Grubb, Noah Warren, Evan Warren, Alex Mills, Abby Mills, Dakota Lawson, Kayson Grubb, and one very special great grandchild Raelee Collins.
The Funeral Service will be held at Britton Funeral Home, Manchester, KY, at 1 PM Monday April 14th, 2014 with pastor Eddie Judd officiating and brother Brian Murray providing the Eulogy. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13th, 2014 from 6-9 PM with Burial in the Collins Cemetery at Liberty Hills, KY.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hacker, Donavon Grubb, Andy Belt, Mark Hoskins, Rick Combs, Chris Combs, Robin Combs, Daniel Combs, and Matthew Combs. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Robinson, Gary Asher, and Raymond Clay.
