Mr. Troy Couch, age 81 of Oneida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born on Tuesday, September 13, 1932 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Alfred and Delora Colwell Couch.
He was a member of the Brutus Baptist Church since 1976, a Kentucky Colonel, former mayor of South Lebanon, Ohio, a member of the Oneida Fire Department and a veteran of the United States Airforce.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Elizabeth Baker Couch, and these children: Deborah Y. Couch, Troy Glenn Couch and his wife Sarah, Sheila K. Couch Gay and her husband Palis, and Phillip M. Couch and his wife Sonja.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Hazel, Chester, John, Versie Mae, Alfred, Jr., Paul Clinton, Martha Jane and Shirley Jean.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Delora Couch, his brother: Raleigh and his granddaughter: Heather Yvonne Gay Miller.
Funeral Services for Mr. Troy Couch will be conducted on Saturday, July 19 at 1 PM at the Brutus Baptist Church. Rev. Phyllis Baker Thomas, Rev. Todd Hicks, Rev. Charles Woods, and Rev. Benny Fields will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Esau-Gabbard Cemetery in the Indian Creek Community of Owsley County.
Visitation will be held on Saturday after 11 AM until the funeral hour of 1 PM at the Brutus Baptist Church.
