Mrs. Rachel Hensley, age 91 of Gabbards Fork Road departed this life on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Life Care Center in Greeneville, Tennessee.
She was born on Friday, September 7, 1923 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Chester and Bertha Sams Lunsford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sons: Owen Hensley, Jr. and wife Charlene of Moshein, Tennessee, and Bige Hensley and wife Margaret of Gabbards Fork. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Clayton Hensley, Mary Rachel Hensley, Kim Reid and Kristy Smith, 7 great grandchildren: Marissa Reid, Kyra Reid, Nathan Smith, Katilyn Smith, Emerson Hensley, Hazel Hensley and Will Hensley and her brother: Green Lunsford of Reed Branch and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Owen Hensley, her parents: Chester and Bertha Lunsford, her daughter: Drucie Hensley, her sister: Louisa Sams, her brother: John Lunsford, and 3 step-sons: Frank Hensley, Luther Hensley, and Henry Hensley.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rachel Hensley will be conducted on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Frank Peters will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Gabbards Fork Community.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
