Two arrests after investigation on a suspicious vehicle by LSO deputies

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Daniel Grigsby along with Deputy Shawn Jackson and Sgt. John Inman arrested two individuals on Wednesday night November 23, 2016 at approximately 11:49 PM.

The arrests occurred off East Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 12 miles south London after deputies conducted an investigation on a suspicious vehicle parked by a closed business whose location has been the victim of burglary and drug activity in the past.

Deputies found one of the subjects in the vehicle in possession of a marijuana pipe, rolling papers, a soda bottle improvised as a smoking device, and marijuana. An investigation was conducted on this individual who was determined to be under the influence. This subject was identified as Shawn Borsch age 37 Of Rockcastle St., Corbin charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Another individual checked there was determined to have an outstanding warrant charging harassing communications. This individual was identified as James Lundy age 41 of Sam Parker Road, Gray, Kentucky.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
