Man alledgedly stops in fast lane of I-75 to urinate

Whitley County, KY - The Whitley County Sheriff's Department is reporting that at around 6:45 p.m. December 12, 2016, sheriff deputies were notified that a mint green Nissan Altima was reportedly involved in a hit and run around the 29 mile point on southbound I-75.

Deputy James Tabor got on I-75 at Exit 15 and spotted a vehicle matching that description near mile point 14.

The car was stopped in the fast lane with the driver’s side door open. A man was standing there and urinating.

Dep. Tabor arrested Matthew Donelly, 47, of Lexington, Kentucky, for DUI. He was also charged with wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct and driving without a license.

Donelly was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

Sergeant James Fox and Dep. Jonas Saunders assisted in the investigation.
