Man police say told co-worker that he was going to be the next school shooter arrested in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root along with Capt. Chuck Johnson, Lieut. Greg Poynter, Sgt. Brett Reeves, and Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested Jacob Lee Davenport age 25 of Girdler, Ky. on Wednesday morning February 21, 2018 at approximately 10:30 AM.

The arrest occurred at a business off US 25 approximately 4 miles south of London after this subject allegedly told one of his co-workers that he was going to be the next school shooter.

The co-worker reported the incident to his supervisor and the incident was reported to the Sheriff's office who conducted an investigation.

This individual admitted that he had made the statement.

Jacob Lee Davenport was charged with terroristic threatening – second-degree a class D felony and was lodged in the Laurel County detention Center.
