KSP Charges Jefferson Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses



LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 10, 2018) — On September 7, 2018, at approximately 11:58 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Clyde D. Gardner, 35, on charges related to use of a minor in a sex performance and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Gardner was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Gardner sharing files of child sexual exploitation online.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Louisville on September 7, 2018. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Gardner is currently charged with five counts of use of a minor in a sex performance and five counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

He was lodged in the Jefferson County Detention Center.p>
