Gray, Ky. (December 12, 2018) - UPDATE: On December 11, 2018 KSP Post 10’s Criminal Intelligence Analyst located an individual with matching information that could possibly be Adam Keith Pinkley.
Mr. Pinkley was reported missing in June of 2018 and reported to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department where they have been working a missing person investigation.
On December 12, 2018 at approximately 8:30 p.m. KSP Post 10 Harlan was notified by the Knox County Coroner’s Office about the identity of the human remains located on December 10, 2018 off of Garland Cemetery Road.
The Knox County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the remains are those of Adam Keith Pinkley (34) of Corbin.
The Coroner’s Office stated Mr. Pinkley was identified by a pace maker that was also located at the scene.
At this time KSP is actively working a death investigation. Detectives are also continuing to investigate the cause of death and how the remains ended up in the wooded area.
Case is still under investigation by Det. Jake Wilson.

KSP: Human remains located in Knox County
Gray, Ky. (December 10, 2018) - On December 10, 2018 at 6:16 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan, received a call from Knox County Dispatch requesting assistance after human remains had being located off of Garland Cemetery Road in the Gray community of Knox County. Troopers and Detectives from Post 10 responded to the location and began an investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 15 year old juvenile was riding his four wheeler in a wooded area off of Garland Cemetery Rd when he came across human remains. After locating the remains, KSP was notified to investigate.
The human remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort in the morning for an autopsy. State Police will be on the scene throughout most of the night collecting evidence.
At this time no identification and cause of death can be made due to the state of the body.
Case is still under investigation by Det. Jake Wilson. Also assisted at the scene were Deputy Coroner’s with the Knox County Coroner’s Office.
