Arrest at 2 Vehicle Accident with Injuries / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On February 16, 2019 at approximately 7:00 PM Clay County Deputy Sheriff Tommy Houston arrested an individual at the scene of two vehicle injury accident.

Arrested was:

Coy Grubb age 43 of London.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Tommy Houston was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with injuries in the Fogertown area of Clay County.

Upon arrival of the location Deputy Tommy Houston came in contact with the driver of a black pickup truck, the above mentioned name showed signs of impairment.

Upon search of the pickup truck, Deputy Tommy Houston located several Drug Paraphernalia items along with illegal controlled substances in a back pack belonging to the above mentioned subject.

Assisting at the scene was Fogertown Fire Department and District 6 Constable Steve Smith.

Coy Grubb was charged with:

Driving Under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08 (Agg Circumstances)

  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Offense
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
