Laurel County, Ky. (October 14, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Etherton along with Deputy Allen Turner, Deputy Brent France, and Deputy James Fox arrested Justin John Hammons age 29 of London on Saturday evening October 12, 2019 at approximately 6:13 PM.
The arrest occurred off Wren Road, approximately 3 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a fight in progress there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies observed this individual standing in the front yard of a residence there and observed this individual walk quickly behind a residence there. Deputies noted that they could hear this individual yelling and cursing very loudly.
An investigation was conducted and it was learned that allegedly this individual had struck a male subject causing visible injuries. In addition, this subject was determined to be under the influence. This individual was also wanted on outstanding warrants.
Justin John Hammons was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence
- Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license and numerous other violations
In addition, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court on charges of Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
