Laurel Deputies investigate Suspicious Vehicle complaint

Laurel County, Ky. (October, 23, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Jake Miller along with Deputy Taylor McDaniel and Deputy Joey Robinson arrested Austin Wagner age 24 of Rough Creek Rd., London on Wednesday morning October 23, 2019 at approximately 10:45 AM.

The arrest occurred off Commonwealth Drive, approximately 4 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle (ablack pickup) parked next to a business most of the morning.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the vehicle (a black colored Ford pickup) and a male subject apparently passed out in the vehicle.

Upon awakening the driver, an investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.

In addition, upon arrest this individual was found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Hydrocodone, Clonazepam, a pipe containing white residue and Marijuana seeds.

Austin Wagner was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – second-degree
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
