Coal Hollow man arrested during complaint investigation at Big Hickory Golf Course

MANCHESTER, KY (October, 23, 2019) - The Clay County sheriff's Department is reporting that: On October 22, 2019 at approximately 11:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones and CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb arrested Steven Gregory, 44 of Coal Hollow Road.

The arrest occurred at the Big Hickory Golf Course when units responded to a complaint of a male subject with a gun.

Upon arrival, units searched the area at which time located a male subject along the river bank who stated he was collecting abandoned golf balls.

Upon further investigation it was noted that the individual had ammo in his possession but no firearm.

Through confirmation with Clay County Dispatch it showed the subject had an Indictment warrant out of Clay County along with a Circuit Bench Warrant. 

Steven Gregory was charged with:

• Serving Bench Warrant for Court (Clay Indictment Warrant)
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court (Clay Circuit Bench Warrant)

Assisting at the scene was Manchester City Police Chief Chris Fultz, City Police Lt. Jason Combs, City Police Det. Gary Jordan and City Police K9 Officer Ryan Jackson along with K9 “Zeus”.
