Clay County, Ky. (October 28, 2019) - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on October 27, 2019 at approximately 12:50 AM Clay County Sheriff K9 Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested Payton Simpson, 61 of Phillips Hill Drive.
The arrest occurred on South Highway 421 when Deputy Edwards made contact with the above mentioned subject passed out in a vehicle.
Deputy Edwards noted a strong alcoholic odor emitting from the subject, once told he was under arrest the individual began to resist arrest. The individual was placed under arrest without further incident.
Payton Simpson was charged with:
• Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place
• Resisting Arrest
