MANCHESTER, KY (November 26, 2019) - the Clay County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On November 26, 2019 at approximately 11:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones, CSO Deputy Coty Arnold and SRO Kendric Smith arrested Tony Brandon Downey, 33 of Lucy Lane.
The arrest occurred when Sheriff Robinson and Chief Deputy Jones received a complaint of a possible domestic involving the above mentioned subject.
Once arrival on scene, units came into contact with the above mentioned subject who attempted to flee. After a brief foot pursuit the subject was apprehended, while being placed under arrest the subject resisted arrest and became combative.
After a brief struggle the subject was placed under arrest.
Tony Brandon Downey was charged with:
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court (Clay Circuit)
• Serving Clay County Indictment Warrant
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court (Flagrant Non-Stop)
• Resisting Arrest
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Fleeing or Evading Police (On Foot)
• Disorderly Conduct
Chief Deputy Jones is in charge of the arrest.
