LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Bailiff Roy Ball along with Bailiff Jacklyn Johnson and court security officer Dennis Gilbert arrested Leonard Jones age 54 of East Bernstadt on Thursday afternoon February 13, 2020 at approximately 3 PM.
The arrest occurred at the Laurel County Judicial Center in London as this subject attempted to enter the Laurel County Circuit Court room.
Officers noted he was unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech and following an investigation was determined to be under the influence.
Leonard Jones was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
