MANCHESTER, KY - The City of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: At 8:09 AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 City of Manchester Fire Department was dispatched by Clay County E-911 to Chop Bottom Road for a motor vehicle accident with confirmed entrapment.
Upon arrival of personnel it was confirmed one subject was trapped inside the vehicle.
Units quickly deployed the rescue tools including the "Jaws of Life" to make access to the patient that was trapped in the back seat of the vehicle.
Once personnel was able to get the back door free to open Clay County EMS was able to make entry to the patient where they were able to get him completely out and transport him to Air Evac 109 where he was flew to a level 1 trauma center.
Units assisted in traffic control, then cleared the scene with no further incident.
