The Kentucky County Attorneys Association (KCAA) has nominated Clay County Attorney Joe White to serve on the Prosecutors Advisory Council (PAC).

The nine-member PAC consists of the Attorney General (chairperson), three Commonwealth’s Attorneys, three County Attorneys and two citizen members.

All members except the Attorney General are appointed by the Governor and White is one of three County Attorneys nominated and submitted to the Governor by KCAA for consideration.

PAC’s duties include co-sponsoring the annual Kentucky Prosecutors Conference, which is attended by more than 600 prosecutors and law enforcement officials; providing basic training courses for newly elected Commonwealth’s and County Attorneys; sponsoring the Kentucky Prosecutors Institute (KPI), which is a week-long trial skills course for new prosecutors; presiding over the financial administration of the Unified Prosecutorial System, consisting of 177 Commonwealth’s and County Attorneys and their employees; and overseeing the preparation of the Child Abuse Prosecution Manual and the Data Collection Report.

“I am honored to have been nominated for this very important position,” White stated. “If selected, I intend to work very hard alongside General Cameron and the other council members to provide the most effective and efficient prosecutorial system in our nation.”
