MANCHESTER, KY - On April 17, 2020 at approximately 3:45 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Coty Arnold along with Sheriff Patrick Robinson, Sgt. Jeremy Gabbard, Deputy Shawn Curry and Public Affairs Officer Trent Baker arrested Eddie Cobb, 40 of Highway 149.
The arrest occurred when Deputy Arnold was on a separate complaint on Curry Branch Road when the above mentioned subject and another male subject had allegedly been into an altercation, when the other party had fled the scene the above mentioned subject then pursued him in another vehicle.
The alleged victim witnessed Deputy Arnold on the original complaint when he slammed on the brakes of the vehicle yelling for help.
The above mentioned subject then jumped out of his vehicle and stated he was going to kill him no matter if the police was around or not.
Deputy Arnold gave loud verbal commands for the subject to stop, the above mentioned subject disregarded the commands and fled on foot. During the foot pursuit the subject jumped back in the original vehicle and attempted to flee.
During a brief vehicle pursuit, the vehicle was located behind a residence wrecked.
Through search of the property the subject had broken into a camper and was located in the back room attempting to hide.
Eddie Cobb was charged with:
• Criminal Trespassing 2nd Degree
• Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree
• Theft By Unlawful Taking-Auto
• Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd (On Foot)
• Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd ( Vehicle)
• Burglary 3rd Degree
