LONDON, KY (June 10, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel County Sheriff's office deputies and detectives arrested two individuals on drug trafficking charges early Tuesday June 9, 2020 at approximately 3:30 AM.
The arrests occurred at a motel room in London following an undercover investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff's office during which two male subjects allegedly sold methamphetamine from their motel room.
Sheriff's deputies and detectives found the two individuals in possession of:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Suspected Heroin
- Hypodermic needles
- An AR-15 rifle
- A Glock pistol
- Narcan spray
- A large amount of U.S. currency
The two arrested individuals were identified as:
Michael A. Osborne age 34 of Louisville, KY charged with:
- Conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance – first offense
In addition, this subject was charged on a Kentucky Parole Board parole violation warrant charging -Absconding parole supervision regarding a conviction in Jefferson Circuit Court on charges of:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
Alexander Christian Finley age 21 of Louisville, KY charged with:
- Conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance – first offense
- Possession of firearm by a convicted felon
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Deputies and detectives involved in the arrests and investigation included: Detective Richard Dalrymple, Detective James Sizemore, Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Justin Taylor, Deputy James Fox, Deputy Landry Collett. London City Police also assisted the Sheriff's office at the scene. More arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
