LONDON, KY (November 23, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brent France along with Lieut. Chris Edwards, K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler, and Deputy Hunter Disney arrested Gerline Cox age 67 of Williamsburg on Saturday evening November 21, 2020 at approximately 5:01 PM.
The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Parkway at a business approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a female subject refusing to leave the business.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies noted the suspect was cursing and creating a disturbance and stated to deputies that she would kill everyone of them.
Upon arrest the suspect began to kick and spit on deputies there and was taken into custody.
Deputies noted this individual kicked cruiser windows the entire trip to the detention center.
Gerline Cox was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Resisting arrest
- Criminal trespassing second degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
