Clay County, Kentucky Man Jailed Following Investigation at Traffic Stop on Highway 421

MANCHESTER, KY - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On January 21, 2021 at approximately 2:00 PM Clay County Sheriff K9 Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Rodney Joe Grubb, 44 of Belles Fork Road. 

The arrest occurred on South Highway 421 when Deputy Brumley conducted a traffic stop for violations.

Upon making contact with the driver, Deputy Brumley ran the subjects information through Clay County Dispatch and showed that the vehicle’s title had been cancelled for failure to transfer along with the driver operating on DUI Suspended License.

Rodney Grubb was charged with:

• No Registration Plates
• No Registration Receipt
• License to be In Possession
• Driving on DUI Suspended License - 2nd Offense
• Failure of Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
