FRANKFORT, KY (June 2, 2025) – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today that a court ordered the roofing company Lexington Blue to immediately cease operations and marketing while the Attorney General's Office investigates its alleged unlawful business activity.
The Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection filed a complaint in Fayette Circuit Court, which granted a temporary restraining order against the roofing company.
The court's order prevents Lexington Blue and its operators from transferring or liquidating assets. The order also freezes the Defendants' financials – both corporate and personal accounts.
The Attorney General's Office opened an investigation into Lexington Blue earlier this year. According to the complaint, in 2024 alone, the company accepted $4.8 million in payments for more than 300 projects, the majority of which appear unfulfilled. More than 70 Kentucky consumers have filed reports with the AG's Office of Consumer Protection, with consistent complaints of making substantial deposits for roof construction projects that never occurred.
"We are constantly on guard against predatory organizations that try to take advantage of Kentuckians, and we will hold these bad actors accountable," said Attorney General Coleman. "We're sending a strong message to scammers that they will face serious consequences when they operate within our Commonwealth."
General Coleman continues to encourage anyone who needs assistance with this company to contact the Office HERE or by calling 888-432-9257.
Division Chief Chris Lewis, Executive Director of the Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection Philip Heleringer, and Assistant Attorneys General Gary Thompson and Andrew Eveslage represent the Commonwealth in this matter. Executive Director of the Attorney General's Office of Senior Protection and Mediation Shellie May provided services to consumers.
