LONDON, KY (March 24, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler arrested Bemas Ray Noble age 45 of London on Tuesday night March 23, 2021 at approximately 9:22 PM.
The arrest occurred off Finley Trailer Park Road, approximately 3/10 miles South of London after Sgt. Mehler was dispatched to a suspicious suspect and vehicle complaint at an abandoned mobile home there.
Sgt. Mehler learned while enroute to the scene that allegedly this individual had been sleeping in his car the past three days at an abandoned trailer there.
Upon arrival at the scene Sgt. Mehler located a gray Chevrolet sedan with an occupant in it and conducted an investigation.
The occupant misidentified himself even after being warned of the consequences of giving false identifying information.
Following an investigation, the occupant was determined to be under the influence and his correct identity was determined and it was learned he had an outstanding warrant. Sgt. Mehler deployed his K-9 “Edge” on the vehicle which alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
As a result, this individual was found in possession of:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Digital scale
- Rolling papers
- Zip lock baggies
- A hypodermic needle
- A small amount of Marijuana residue
Bemas Ray Noble was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Giving officer false identifying information
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana
In addition, this individual was charged on a Perry County District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court on numerous violations including operating a motor vehicle under the influence
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
