Man tells Deputies Responding to a Complaint in Southeast Kentucky that He's a Rapper Singing for People Inside the Residence

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brent France along with Deputy Brian France arrested Enoch G. Smith age 28 on Saturday night May 29, 2021 at approximately 10:36 PM.

The arrest occurred off G Smith Lane approximately 10 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject beating on the door of a residence attempting to make entry and had allegedly told the elderly female inside the residence he would kill her if she did not open the door.

Upon arrest deputies located the male suspect on the front porch and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.

This individual told deputies that he was a rapper and was singing for people inside the residence.

This individual was found in possession of a hypodermic needle.

Enoch G. Smith was charged with:

  • Terroristic threatening – third-degree
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Public intoxication – Controlled substances

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • Failure to appear in court on numerous violations

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
